Why the Manufacturing Process Matters
A surgical or dental instrument has to open, close, grip, cut or hold exactly as intended. That depends on how it is shaped, refined, finished and checked, not just on the material it is made from.
At FineMed, every instrument moves through a defined manufacturing sequence in Sialkot. Each stage builds on the one before it, and inspection takes place at relevant stages and before shipment, so the finished instrument matches the agreed specification.
Manufacturing process
From Raw Material to Finished Instrument
Seven stages take each instrument from stainless steel to a marked, inspected and packed product.

Material Selection
Each instrument starts with choosing stainless steel suited to its function. Cutting instruments, gripping instruments and retractors place different demands on the material, so selection is matched to the instrument type and the buyer's specification.

Forging & Forming
The material is shaped into the rough form of the instrument. This stage establishes the basic profile of handles, shanks, jaws and blades that later stages refine.

Machining & Grinding
Excess material is removed and the instrument is brought to its working shape. Jaws, serrations, tips, joints and cutting edges are refined so the instrument can perform as intended.

Polishing & Finishing
Surfaces are smoothed and given the finish specified for the order. A clean, even finish matters for both the appearance of the instrument and its practical use.

Assembly
Multi-part instruments are joined and fitted. For hinged instruments this is where jaw alignment and smooth opening and closing are set.

Inspection
Finished instruments are checked for dimensions, function and finish against the agreed specification before they move on to marking and packing.

Marking & Packaging
Instruments are marked as required, including buyer branding for OEM and private-label orders, then packed to the agreed packaging requirements for shipment.
